Lucky bamboo is an indoor plant. It is attractive, popular and easy to care for. It is also considered an auspicious plant, bringing luck according to the principles of the feng shui system.
In botany, its name is Dracaena Sanderiana. Its name comes from the famous Anglo-German gardener, Henry Frederick Conrad Sander.
Despite its name and appearance, the lucky bamboo does not actually belong to the bamboo family but to the lily family. It comes from the tropical forests of Africa and some parts of Southeast Asia.
Lucky bamboo makes an excellent indoor plant and is very easy to grow. It is just as easy to plant in soil as it is in plain water!
